Join the Big Friendly Read throughout the summer holiday!

This year, libraries everywhere are celebrating 100 years of the world’s favourite storyteller Roald Dahl in The Big Friendly Read, and there’s a packed schedule of events (over 140 activities!) across all libraries in Westminster.

The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children to read six books from their library during the summer holidays. Children can read whatever they like for the challenge – fact books, joke books, story books, picture books, audio books, or e-books – collecting  rewards along the way. It’s free to take part and is aimed at all reading abilities. So come and join in – just ask at your local library.
