WW1 centenary walk from Paddington Library

City of Westminster Guide, David Evans recently led a walk from Paddington Library to Paddington Station to highlight what the Bayswater area was like during World War One. About 15 members of the public – including a baby in a buggy joined David who showed them the war memorial in Paddington Station and described the Old Time Music Hall entertainment in Praed Street. The government of the day realised the importance of public morale and encouraged and supported this type of popular entertainment.
