Story Lab update – still going strong!

We’re entering the final strait of the Story Lab Summer Reading Challenge, and what a summer it has been! It’s not too late to join up and join in though – with nearly two weeks and 17 events still to go, it’s far from over. Here’s a little taste of what we’ve been up to in the last couple of weeks:

Cocojam at Pimlico LibraryCocojam took their street dance workshop to Pimlico Library. Abena the Cocojam instructor taught the kids some basic moves and how to put together a dance routine, and the participants had loads of fun, exercise, and really gained in confidence.

Mini Olympics at Victoria LibraryChildren at Victoria Library had a go at staging their very own mini Olympics with Laura, the School Sports Coach for Westminster. They were split into 2 teams, red or blue, and took part in races, target games, team events and competitions. Usain Bolt may have been a bit of an influence…

Stretch and Grow at Charing Cross LibraryContinuing the sporting theme, Renata from Stretch and Grow came to Charing Cross Library’s Under Fives event. Babies, toddlers and their grown-ups took part in singing games, simple exercises and had fun!

Mike Belgrave at Queen's Park LibraryAnd old favourite Mike Belgrave returned to deliver his trademark hilarious event at Queen’s Park Library. His show includes jokes, silly songs, puppets, magic and much craziness! His rock ‘n’ roll version of ‘Baa baa black sheep’ is a must-see…
