Paddington – twinned with South Korea?

Paddington Library has links all over the worldPaddington Library certainly enjoys international connections. Last year we played host to Malaysian governmental representatives.

This year it’s South Korea’s turn.

I have received enquiries over several years from people in South Korea working in education with young people.  They wish to know what we are doing at Paddington Children’s Library. I was recently contacted by Korean National Assembly Television (NATV). NATV is a government channel which broadcasts the Assembly proceedings and related programmes. The programme they were making was about citizenship education around the world.

The staff filmed a school class visit (St Mary Magdalene Year 6 ) to the library and also  interviewed library staff.  They also filmed the library homework club including volunteers and parents.

The filming will be included in a 50 minute documentary which I assume will be for the benefit of the Korean National Assembly. I shall keep you posted when we get the finished product from South Korea!
