A great celebration was had by all when Church Street Library held its first Community Fun Day at the end of November.
Over 950 people attended over the course of the day! All parts of the library were utilised with fun-packed activities going on for all ages of the community.
a book sale, henna hand painting and Indian head massage for the adults, face painting for the children, acomputer games tournament, a planting activity for families, a local school choir performance, a local cheer-leading group, One Stop advisers to showcase the One Stop Express machine, a free Zumba class and storytelling.
We also had assistance from the Church Street Friends of the Library group, signing people up for our first Church Street Newsletter which is due to be released in February 2012.
