Continuously published for 170 years, the Jewish Chronicle is apparently the oldest newspaper of its kind in the world. For all that time it has reported the news here and abroad from the Jewish viewpoint, interviewed the leading players on the social and cultural scene, and promoted debate on current issues.
Every issue is available online in facsimile form, so of course you get all the pictures and the adverts as well – fully searchable all the way back to 1841. The JC Archive is available at Marylebone Information Service and Paddington Library as one of our ‘In House Specials’.
