Poster for 'The Penis Monologues'Men don’t talk about what goes on in their underwear. Well they don’t usually!

Unfinished Business’s production of The Penis Monologues was staged at Westminster Reference Library on 25 June. Having received positive reviews in 2010 for this daringly honest show, Unfinished Business returned with a reworking of the original production that combined real experiences with fiction to create the best package they could put on stage.

Writer Danny Lee Pegg and director/actor Alex Israel, both passionate about theatre, combined their individual talents to form Unfinished Business Theatre Company. They toured the South East with this second production of The Penis Monologues, staged in London for the first time, in which six young men talk about what happens in their underwear. The subject matter may not immediately strike as particularly fascinating but the acting was first class and the writing, full of gentle humour and frank insights, was eye-opening for men and women alike. The audience all found something to puzzle, laugh or cry over.
