Church Street Library opened to the public on Monday morning (9 August) . The Lord Mayor of Westminster formally opened the Library yesterday (11 August) joined by 150 invited guests.
The public space in the library has trebled in size and incorporates a learning centre, community space and separate areas for adults, children’s and young people.
A new shop front entrance way replaces the old, rather dingy alleyway and has helped massively improve the visibility of the library from the street.
Opening week has been exciting and extremely busy, with over 1000 people visiting on day one alone.
