14 days to go…

… until Church Street Library reopens.

Wallpaper freize at Church Street Library

We are into the final two weeks and things are finally looking finished. All handrails and glazing are in, tiling has been finished, notice boards installed and painting completed. Unfortunately we had some kids cause minor damage at the rear of the library but it was all caught on CCTV so the police are pursuing a prosecution.

Inside the library a vinyl wallpaper which stretches to the  height of two floors has now been completed (see above).

All shelving headers to help people locate the right section have been installed and intricate details of how the computers will work with the council’s network are being finalised (yawn!).

Closure posters are up in the temporary library and packing crates have begun to arrive.

Now is no time to panic….!
