Work is progressing well on the new Church Street library. The shopfront for the new entrance way has been installed and all of the signage has been finalised (a sneeky peek on the right). The benches in the reading garden are in and plants for the flower pots are being selected.
A full programme of events for the opening weeks has been put together. Some fantastic events are being planned including an under 5s session run by English National Opera, author talks from Joe Craig, Ruth Rendell and Rosie Alison and a variety of IT taster sessions.
Inside the library books are being put onto shelves and new computers have been ordered (lets hope they arrive on time!).
Catering has been booked for the opening but still only 48 people have responded to their invitations… come on you lot RSVP!
