You heard it here first

Tags & reviews on the Westminster Libraries catalogueThe library mice have been scrabbling away in the background to bring Westminster Libraries users a special treat for National Libraries Day. So new that we haven’t had time to publicise it anywhere else yet (it went live yesterday afternoon), we’re pleased to announce some tasty additions to our online catalogue.

You know how you used to look stuff up, see if we had it, reserve it etc? Important stuff – useful stuff – but not very exciting when you’re used to Amazon?

Well now, courtesy of LibraryThing, you can do a lot more. You can see star ratings and reviews from other readers, add your own reviews (please do!), see and follow tags and links to other editions and similar books. AND all these features are available via the Mobile App too.

Have a look – it’s lush.

New features on the Westminster Libraries catalogue: reviews, tags, similar books
National Libraries Day - 4 February 2012So, that’s our present to you today – if you want to give us something back, add a review of your favourite book(s), film(s), music – they’re moderated but we promise to get to them before you can say Jack Rabbit.

Happy National Libraries Day!
